What’s it all about – Furnantics?

Setting up the business at the tail end of ’97 although with some trepidation into what seemed like going out into the unknown it was still an exciting time of sourcing products and meeting new people.  Fresh from uni with a degree under my belt and with what seemed like being one minute in the heady pace of Bath (!) and the next in frenetic Bangkok the Furnantics experience began!

Our core product remains as the day we started sourcing in Thailand – mango wood interior accessories. Why mango wood? The grain of mango wood is simply stunning and with the knowledge that the commercial mango tree plantation is a sustainable and renewable source of timber, we are proud to have it as the raw material of our main product range.

Thailand is one of the biggest exporters of mangoes and with the mango tree only yielding top quality fruit for limited years there is continuous replanting with the felled trees being effectively recycled and used by the local furniture/ craft industry.

As the popularity of the interior accessories market increases so does our product range with one of the most diverse mango wood collections available. We hold great importance in unique design, high quality materials and customer feedback.

Through experience we have acquired good product knowledge, an excellent sourcing and QC team and reliable suppliers. Our stock levels on each product are maintained so we can satisfy the needs of the small retailer to the substantial hotelier or event organizer.

Our UK production of our decorative wall panels is going from strength to strength with a new production area being built last year and new designs being developed every season.

Nearing our first decade in business we have grown and developed our product ranges demanding the highest quality which is no small feat when working with a natural product. With more of the products being designed in-house the future is just as exciting as that first day in Thailand!

We look forward to a continuous good working relationship with existing clients and welcome new customers aboard.

Many thanks,
Jayne Sanders-Smith
